complexity kills...

A note on systems.

If you’re a builder by nature and you probably get the urge to optimise everything….

But you only need 3 systems for your business.

One to acquire leads/users.
One to deliver your product/service.
One to manage your team.

Now, there are levels within those of course.

But get those right and you’ll be hitting the 80/20 of a successful business.

You need to fight the urge to add more.

It’s the same with most things, it only really takes ONE well-thought-out plan, actioned consistently.

Everything else is distraction.

THE most common problem I see smart people do is over-complicate things.

Complexity kills businesses.

If there’s one concept I want you to take on board it’s this…

Growth = Alignment + Action

So keep it simple.

Step 1: Get VERY clear on your goals.
Step 2: Align everyone’s incentives to the actions that will achieve those goals.
Step 3: Repeat the above two steps for 6-12 months and review results.

And say no to anything that doesn’t fall into that plan.
